Worship Services

New Covenant is a versatile, welcoming “home” focused on enhancing the spiritual growth of our congregation. We offer different styles of worship experiences for you and your family.

Contemporary Worship - Saturday 5 p.m.

Join us every Saturday evening as we worship with a powerful blend of Biblical teaching, modern praise and worship songs led by the energy of our Praise Team, and re-imagined hymns. Embrace the traditions of the church through the observance of weekly Communion.

Blended Worship - Sunday 9:00 a.m. & 11:00 a.m.

No matter which of our Blended Worship services you choose to attend, you’ll find traditional worship with great hymns of our faith interspersed with praise and worship songs, liturgy, powerful Biblical teaching/preaching, piano, choir, and organ. We celebrate God’s loving and transforming presence in the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of each month.

Children’s Orchard Worship - Sunday 11:00 a.m.

Orchard Worship is for kids, pre-Kindergarten through fifth grade. At Orchard Worship, kids grow in their relationship with Jesus! Prayer, praise, and worship all tie into a weekly Bible passage. Creative lessons and crafts keep kids engaged. Children will learn that they can trust God — no matter what! Parents are encouraged to attend the 11:00 a.m. Blended Worship service in the Christian Life Center.

Chancel Choir

Ministry is our goal – music is our primary tool.

The choir’s purpose is to share the Gospel through song and praise, to lead and bless the congregation in worship and singing of psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. We encourage others in their walk with Jesus Christ and to be an avenue for believers to share their spiritual gifts while being an integral part of the worship experience.

Membership in the Chancel Choir is open to all adults and students who commit to serve God in this way. Join if you are willing and able to faithfully and joyfully carry out the responsibilities of choir membership and have a heart for our Lord and desire to grow as ministers and musicians.

Handbells

Created in England to provide a practice instrument for the carillons (bell towers), handbells are miniature versions of those bells and now add another musical dimension to our worship services. Handbell Ensembles require people with coordination and good rhythm.

New Covenant has two choirs comprised of persons with different skill levels, and those choirs alternate playing in worship during the months of August through April.

Interested ringers in all levels should contact Jean Butler, Handbell Conductor, below for additional information.

Praise Band

The Praise Team comprises an auditioned group of instrumentalists and vocalists who lead our contemporary Saturday night worship services.

Recognizing that God gave us His very best through the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ, the Praise Band is committed to offering quality musicianship in their endeavors to please Him.

ABBA Art

This class, taught by Cindy O’Lear, who is internationally-recognized and paints in just about all media, working in many styles, teaches how to overcome any preconceived reluctance to do art while spreading God’s Word through art. Classes begin with a time of prayer and devotion followed by each artist choosing their own subject and medium.

Enjoy and be amazed at the art you can create in this lovely, welcoming environment as you encourage, and are encouraged by, other artists. Students exhibit their work at semi-annual art shows in the Church Narthex.

Celebration of Life Service

A worship service following the death of a loved one does at least two things: it enables us to face the reality of our mortality, and it comforts us in the celebration of another reality — life after death in God. It is the commitment of the clergy, worship, and music leadership of New Covenant United Methodist Church to claim and present a properly-balanced and theologically-sound experience for all who see God through worship at the time of death.

We have prepared a guide to assist you during this time of loss, and our prayer is that this resource will assist you during your time of grief.

Weddings

The staff and church family of New Covenant United Methodist Church are grateful for the opportunity to share its ministries with you through the event of your wedding or vow renewal. Our goal is to provide a Christian worship setting that is sacred and honors the institution of Christian marriage, a life-long union of one man and one woman based upon vows made before God, family, and friends.

Every aspect of the ceremony, including musical selections, readings, and decorations must enhance the worship experience and contribute to the sanctity of the vows. We will assist you in every way possible to ensure that this day is everything you dream it will be. Our Pastors, Director of Worship, and Worship & Event Coordinator are experienced in the details of wedding planning and are available to assist you. By careful planning and working together with you, we hope you and all ceremony participants will experience the presence of Christ as witnessed at the wedding at Cana of Galilee.
